SPORTS ALLOCATION

The Persatuan Anak Jati Temiar Jalong Tinggi, Sungai Siput has wrote to Mr. C. Sivaraajjh, the Special Officer to Perak Menteri Besar on 15 January, 2015 for some allocation to purchase sports equipment e.g. takraw net, takraw ball, futsal ball, jersey etc. to be share among the villages in Kenang.

Apparently the Perak State EXCO in-charge of Sports & Youth has allocated RM3,000 (Warrant No.W0023330). The equipment has not receive but the appointed supplier (Smart Ixora Event Enterprise) try to claim the allocation. Luckily the Sungai Siput District Office called me for confirmation. 

Upon confirmation with the Persatuan Anak Jati Temiar Jalong Tinggi Chairman, Kamis and Secretary Juni together with Batin Nasiri, we went to Sungai Siput District Office to seek further details which I will refer back to the EXCO's office soon.

DISTRIBUTING DRY FOODS FOR 'ORANG ASAL'

 

Arrangement for distributing 71 boxes of dry foods to the 'Orang Asal' in KOA Kenang Lama and KOA Cengkih headed by Dato' Tan Lian Hoe, Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas [PAWE] Chairman on 22.3.2015. The foods supplies by Yayasan Bina Upaya, a state funded foundation to eliminate the hard core poor in Perak. 

I was informed by the Yayasan Bina Upaya officers that dry foods has been disbursed to Jalong upon my request. Immediately, I asked Dato' Tan for some foods to be disbursed to the 'Orang Asal' which she agreed. Dato' Tan is the coordinator for Jalong.

I noticed there are 2 types of boxes. Upon asking the Yayasan Bina Upaya officer that the smaller boxes are for Chinese New Year disbursement. A check to the box, clearly see that it is February 2015 delivery. This means that foods received for the Chinese New Year are not disbursed upon receipt. These boxes may gone bad if not disbursed in time.

   

  

  

SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION FOR 'ORANG ASAL'

Upon discussion with the Persatuan Orang Asli Semenanjung Malaysia, Sungai Siput branch chairman, Mat Seri Pandak; we decided to seek the Perak state assistance in providing transportation to the young OA in Jalong Tinggi.

The school, SK Kenang providing hostel for the children but they are too young (aged 5 - 9 years old). They still need their parents pamper and love. Living them in the hostel for a week is not a good idea. They have no transportation or their parents are busy for daily survival. 

I hope the Perak Menteri Besar will give due attention on this matter.

DAMAGED ROAD - JALONG TINGGI

My blog dated 15 January, 2015 refers.

Perak MB office has taken immediate action in respond to the complaint letter regarding the damaged road in Jalong Tinggi. Sungai Siput District Office has been instructed to estimate the road repair cost. The Persatuan Anak Temiar Jalong Tinggi, Sungai Siput has been consulted for further details.

As usual, the Persatuan Anak Jati Jalong Tinggi, Sungai Siput would asked my assistance. A written respond to the above has been submitted.
