RIVER POLLUTION

Sg. Korbu in Jalong Tinggi is the only water source for the people of Sungai Siput estimated about 70,000.

Recently, the Orang Asli staying along the river complaint the river was polluted with diesel. The only activity that may cause pollution is the mini-hydro project upstream.

The project has brought tremendous natural disaster to the surrounding. The forest has been opened up to made way for the project. The opportunist carried out logging activities along the area with the reason for making a road for transportation.

GOTONG ROYONG MUHIBBAH CERIA

KRT Taman-Taman Muhibbah, Sungai Siput has successfully organized the "Gotong Royong Muhibbah Ceria" on 16 February, 2020. the programme jointly organized by Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Kangsar and Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Kuala Kangsar. Assisted by COMBI Kg. Muhibbah.

GOTONG ROYONG MUHIBBAH - Taman Muhibbah Jaya

KRT Taman-Taman Muhibbah Sungai Siput successfully organised the Gotong-Royong Muhibbah in Taman Muhibbah Jaya on 25 January 2020. Others government agencies involved are Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Kangsar, Jabatan Kerja Raya and BOMBA Sg. Siput. BOMBA Sg. Siput has demonstrated home fire safety, especially for the house-wife. 

Credits go to En. Mustapha, KRT Taman-Taman Muhibbah Sg. Siput committee member for his effort and initiative to organise this event. The supports from all residences are very encouraging.

DAMAGED ROAD

The damaged road leading to Kampung Pisang in Jalong Tinggi has not repaired. No action was taken by Jawatankuasa Bencana Alam Daerah and JAKOA although the written request for road repair has been given to the respective department 2 months ago.

 

The damaged road revisited recently. Almost half road eroded. This endangers road users mostly the villagers in Kampung Pisang and Kampung Chengkeh.

 

The Pejabat Pembangunan Persekutuan Negeri Perak has been notified. Hope for early attention on this matter.

DAMAGED ROAD

Recent rain has caused massive disruption to the "Orang Asal" in Jalong Tinggi. Rubber cannot be tap. Difficulty going to work. Hunting and other activities closely related to their normal life are greatly affected. Worst ... half of the road leading to Kampung Pisang was badly damaged. 

Recent, road work was not done properly! It was sub-standard work. Culvert broke thus damaging the road.

The Batin of Kampung Pisang comes to me for assistance after their approached to both Jalong State Assemblyman and Sungai Siput Parliament Member failed.

They request an urgent repair on the damaged culvert, road and widen the small bridge.
