JALONG TINGGI ROAD

As usual, during rainy season many facilities will be damage. The tarred road in Jalong Tinggi were frequently damage due to improper road building. It is a hilly area, the road was built without consideration of draining out water. This is the main damage factor.

The erosion due to underground water has created a hollow on the road leading to Kg Langkor. The hole  is getting bigger day by day. It may endanger the road user especially during night. A written request to Perak Menteri Besar has been submitted.

BLOOD DONATION

I started my 2015 calender with 2 blood donation campaigns (3 January 2015 - Persatuan Buddhist Sungai Siput & 8 January 2015 - PESDC).

renewing my organ donors card

Persatuan Buddhist Sungai Siput revived the blood donation after 'sleeping' for more than 10 years. The current Chairman requested my assistance which I agreed immediately and the event arranged in less than 30 minutes! However during the day, the respond from the committee and members are very poor. Nobody border to help out in arranging and cleaning. There are 2 other events held at the same time although there are space but lack of manpower.

compassionate & caring trainers and trainees

PESDC staff and trainees has shown a truly 1 Malaysian spirit where all races playing their part. This campaign recorded 31 volunteers blood donors and 7 registered as organ donors. This the the 7th. blood donation campaign by PESDC since 2011.

HUMANITARIAN MISSION TO JALONG TINGGI

Another food supply mission accomplished. The Perak MB Special Officer cum MIC National Youth Chief, C. Sivarraajh together with Perak State Deputy Youth Chief, Ramachandran lead the delivery of foods and other daily supplies to Jalong Tinggi. My Temiar ethnic friends has cut-off from food supplies few months ago due to landslide, damaged road, thunderstorm and flash flood.

I salute Sdr. C. Sivarraajh for his immediate action upon receiving the news. C. Sivarraajh a truly compassionate, caring and action oriented leader!

FOODS SUPPLIES TO JALONG TINGGI

All the flood relief centres in Sungai Siput has been closed on Tuesday, 30 December 2014. My attention has been divert to the flood, unnoticed the problems of my indigenous friends in Jalong Tinggi.

I was informed that they are facing problem of getting foods due to rain for the past few months. Most of the 'orang asli' work odd job in the nearby estates have no work, thus no income. The natural disaster such as landslide and damage road created further hoax. Their normal living is disrupted!

Message passed to Sdr. C. Sivarraajh (Perak MB Special Officer & MIC National Youth Chairman) and Sdri. Dato' Tan Lian Hoe (PAWEA Chairman) have responded positively. Both are proven compassionate, caring and committed leaders.

Immediate action taken by Sdri. Dato' Tan Lian Hoe by delivering foods to the Temiar ethnic in Jalong Tinggi on 31 December, 2014 morning together with the Gerakan Sungai Siput Division Wanita and Sungai Siput Chinese Women Association.
